Company has been a family-owned business since 1976 providing ice cream and other products to local grocery stores and other end users. Due to continued growth we are currently accepting applications for a Local Truck Driver CDL B Route Delivery to work in our Madison, WI facility.

Compensation

  • Average annual salary of $55,000-$65,000 per year, which includes:
    • Hourly pay $23-$25.00/hour
    • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
    • Typical work week is 45-50 hours per week
    • Bi-weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, some weekends as needed
  • Start times will vary, typically between 5am-7:30am, work until work is completed
  • Make 15-30 stops per day; out of the truck at each stop.
  • Touch freight delivery and merchandising; using 2-wheel hand-cart, dolly to unload trucks
  • Merchandising activities: stocking freezers, rotating product, and facing products
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule
  • Routes will cover Madison, Portage and Wisconsin Dells

Responsibilities

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Provide coverage for Route Sales Representatives and Route Drivers when on vacation
  • Drive CDL trucks to transport products to specific route destinations
  • Deliver, merchandise, and sell products to accounts
  • Touch freight, using 2-wheel hand-cart
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
  • Reporting maintenance/repair issues on straight truck

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of verifiable CDL B experience
  • Foodservice route delivery experience required
  • Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement
  • Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
  • Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
  • Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
  • Use of hand-cart/2-wheel dolly
