Company has been a family-owned business since 1976 providing ice cream and other products to local grocery stores and other end users. Due to continued growth we are currently accepting applications for a Local Truck Driver CDL B Route Delivery to work in our Madison, WI facility.
Compensation
- Average annual salary of $55,000-$65,000 per year, which includes:
- Hourly pay $23-$25.00/hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Typical work week is 45-50 hours per week
- Bi-weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, some weekends as needed

Start times will vary, typically between 5am-7:30am, work until work is completed

Make 15-30 stops per day; out of the truck at each stop.

Touch freight delivery and merchandising; using 2-wheel hand-cart, dolly to unload trucks

Merchandising activities: stocking freezers, rotating product, and facing products

Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule

Routes will cover Madison, Portage and Wisconsin Dells
Responsibilities
- Full-time, permanent position
- Provide coverage for Route Sales Representatives and Route Drivers when on vacation
- Drive CDL trucks to transport products to specific route destinations
- Deliver, merchandise, and sell products to accounts
- Touch freight, using 2-wheel hand-cart
- Provide excellent customer service
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on straight truck
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of verifiable CDL B experience
- Foodservice route delivery experience required
- Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
- Use of hand-cart/2-wheel dolly
