Due to continued growth, we are currently accepting applications for Lead Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery to work in our distribution warehouse in Aurora, CO.

Compensation

  • Approximate annual salary $60,000-$65,000 per year which includes:
    • Hourly wage of $28.00 per hour
    • Up to $3K bonus annually for maintaining safety compliance, paid out 3 times, annually
    • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
    • Typical work week is 50-55 hours per week
    • Bi-Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, no weekends
  • Start times vary, typically between 3:30am-6am; work until work is completed, usually 12-14 hours per day
  • Summer break: June through August; Winter break: Mid-January:
    • May be eligible for unemployment benefits, per state unemployment laws
    • Earn return-to-work incentives of $1,000-$2,000 following each break
    • Earn approximately 90% of regular salary potential with state unemployment and return-to-work incentives during breaks

Responsibilities

  • Route delivery coverage for overflow and call-offs:
    • Make 6-8 stops per day on average
    • Route delivery, driver unload using lift-gate
    • Touch freight, push/pull 300 pound cases of books up and down handicap ramps
    • Inside delivery into elementary school storage rooms and/or libraries
  • Assigning routes to drivers
  • Running safety meetings
  • Coordinating with outsource partners and temp companies
  • Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
  • Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent customer service skills: communication with customers and being the “face of the company”

Requirements

  • Lead and/or Driver Supervisory experience required
  • 1 year local CDL A route delivery, experience with touch freight and/or food industry delivery is preferred
  • Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
  • Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement
  • Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
  • Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
  • Be able to push and/or pull up to 300 pounds with no assistance
