Company is a leading provider of commercial and residential roofing, siding, windows, decking, specialty lumber, waterproofing, ad air barrier systems to the North American building industry. Leveraging a network of trusted regional construction suppliers, we have supported contractors who rely on us to run their businesses for nearly 100 years. Due to continued growth we are currently accepting applications for Branch Manager to work in our Albany, NY facility.

Compensation

Average annual salary $85,000-$105,000 per year, which includes:

  • Negotiable annual salary, based on experience

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, no weekends.
  • Business hours 7am-4pm, work until work is completed.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Routing can change frequently throughout day.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee branch profit and loss accountability.
  • Hire, coach, train, and motivate branch employees.
  • Experience with monitoring performance and following disciplinary actions of branch employees.
  • Problem-solving, maintaining, anticipating inventory supply and demand.
  • Manage sales team and oversee bids to ensure acceptable pricing and/or margins .
  • Improve customer service levels and ensure on-time deliveries to customers.
  • Creating work schedules; controlling overtime costs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers using soft-sales skills.
  • Create a team-building environment; build effective operations and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with P&L management of a wholesale and/or retail branch operation.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and overseeing delivery operations preferred but will train.
  • Strong leadership skills; proven experience with effective change management, etc.
  • Experience with building and managing effective operations and sales teams.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses/
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S..
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
  • Be able to lift, push, pull 75 pounds with no assistance.
