Nationwide trucking company is hiring local CDL A drivers within 45 miles of Huron, SD to service one of its nationwide live haul accounts. Become a dedicated driver and start enjoying consistent freight and job security making deliveries for a single customer.
Compensation
- Average annual salary $68,000 per year, which includes:
- Route pay plus stop pay.
- Typical work week is 50-60 hours per week.
- Paid orientation and training.
- $500 sign-on bonus paid on drivers’ first paycheck.
- Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule
- Sunday – Thursday; mandatory work on Fridays approximately 8 times per year.
- Typical work schedule 4am-4pm, work until work is completed. Typically 10-12 hours per day.
- Home daily, no overnights.
- Local routes, average 6-8 stops per day.
- Deliver live turkeys from farm to processing plants in 53′ flatbed trailer. No touch. No handling of live animals.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule and/or customer locations.
- Truck must be parked at Huron, SD location.
Responsibilities
- Drive day cab with 53′ flatbed trailer to transport live animals to specific route destinations
- Provide excellent customer service
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
Requirements
- No experience necessary. New graduates and military personnel encouraged to apply.
- Drive automatic day cab with 53′ flatbed semi-trailer.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
