Nationwide trucking company is hiring local CDL A drivers within 45 miles of Gordonville, VA to service one of its nationwide retail accounts. Become a dedicated driver and start enjoying consistent freight and job security making deliveries for a single customer.
Compensation
- Average annual salary $70,000 – $80,000 per year, which includes:
- Activity-based pay (mileage, stops, etc.).
- Yearly pay increases.
- Pay incentives for hard runners.
- Typical work week is 50-60 hours per week.
- Paid orientation and training.
- Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule
- 5-day work week, off 2-days per week.
- Several routes to choose from (some weekends off schedules available).
- Start times typically between noon-midnight, depending on route chosen.
- Local routes, approximately 3-10 stops per day.
- Home daily, no overnights.
- No touch freight! Drop & hook or live unload dock deliveries, customer unload.
- Deliver to Wal-Mart store locations in VA, NC, MD, PA, and WV.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule and/or customer locations.
- Truck must be parked at Gordonsville, VA location.
Responsibilities
- Drive CDL trucks to transport products to specific route destinations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have 12 months of verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience.
- No restrictions acceptable.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
