Nationwide trucking company is hiring local CDL A drivers within 45 miles of Batesville, AR to service one of its nationwide live haul accounts. Become a dedicated driver and start enjoying consistent freight and job security making deliveries for a single customer.
Compensation
- Average annual salary around $60,000-$65,000 per year, which includes:
- Activity-based pay (miles, stops, unloading, etc.)
- Approximately 1150 miles per week
- $1,000 sign-on bonus: $500 paid on first dispatch, $500 paid after 30 days.
- $2,500 Service bonus paid quarterly, if eligible
- Typically work 10-12 hours per day
- Bi-weekly paychecks

Work Schedule
- Sunday – Thursday; mandatory work on Fridays, as needed.
- Start times vary, typically between 11pm-1am.
- Local routes within 150 miles of Batesville, AR.
- Routes are typically 15-20 stops per day.
- Pick up and delivery live chickens from farm to processing plants in 53′ flatbed trailer. No touch. No handling of live animals.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule and/or customer locations.
- Truck may be taken home with prior approval.
Responsibilities
- Drive day cab with 53′ flatbed trailer to transport live animals to specific route destinations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months CDL A local and regional delivery experience.
- Drive automatic day cab with 53′ flatbed semi-trailer. Flatbed experience not required.
- Some deliveries using moffett, no experience necessary. Most deliveries are drop & hook.
- Must strap and secure bird cages with hooks and binders.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
