Due to growth we are looking for a Diesel Mechanics to work in our BRAND NEW MAINTENANCE FACILITY within 45 miles of Searcy, AR.
Compensation
- Average annual salary around $55,000- $65,000 per year, which includes:
- Hourly Pay $20.00-$25.00/hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
- Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week
- Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 4-day work week, rotate 1 weekend per month.
- Typically work 10-hour shifts, 6:00am-4:30pm; work until work is completed.
- Work inside, in a BRAND NEW MAINTENANCE FACILITY with heat and air conditioning.
- Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate’s needs.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks
- Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
- Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer’s specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
- Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on air brakes
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing preventative maintenance program on diesel engines
- Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair
- Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Candidate must provide his/her own tools
- Must have a valid and current US driver’s license; no CDL required
